Fort Benning Interservice Pistol Championships

FORT BENNING, Ga. –-(Ammoland.com)- One champion won for a second day in a row and another new champion was crowned after day three of the 51st Interservice Pistol Championships.
Sgt. Patrick Franks, U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, won the .45-caliber individual championship, his first after posting a score of 886-48x. He was followed by USAMU teammate Staff Sgt. Jason Sargent, who shot an 879-46x. In third came Staff Sgt. Robert Park II with a score of 879-41x.
The U.S. Army Reserve Black team won the day’s team championship, their second title in as many days. They scored a collective 1160-48x, beating the U.S. Army Blue team by a single point. The USAR Black team members are Lt. Col. Alan Toler, Master Sgt. Robert Mango, Sgt. 1st Class Keith Sanderson and Staff Sgt Jonathan Rosene.
Today is the final day of the individual and team aggregate competition. Competitors will be shooting with the service pistol of their choice. Tomorrow there will be an excellence-in-competition match to conclude the championship.
