A retired Miami-Dade Fire Rescue employee showed his displeasure with a pair of utility trucks parked in front of his house by riddling them with gun fire at close range.
In the above video, reportedly captured by Derrick Taylor, a technician with AT&T, shows a man identified as Jorge Jove, 64, calmly walk up and begin shooting at the trucks.
“Oh shit,” Taylor can be heard saying as he steps away from the vehicle before calling Hialeah Police, giving a very chill play-by-play analysis of the event. Tires can be heard whistling from being perforated.
“There’s a guy shooting out the tires. He’s shooting out the engines and everything,” says Taylor in the three-minute video, punctuated by the occasional gunshot. “Shooting with an actual gun — a revolver.”
Jove can be seen about two minutes into the event stopping to methodically reload the wheel gun with extra rounds from his pocket.
Sgt. Carl Zogby with Hialeah Police told the local CBS affiliate the crews were in Jove’s neighborhood working on overhead phone lines.
“The owner of the house came out, he was upset the trucks were parked in front of his house, asked them to move. They said, ‘We’ll move in a few minutes, we’re just working on the poles. We’re supposed to be here,'” said Zogby, who said Jove then returned with a handgun and fired at least a dozen shots, flattening the tires and shooting one of the vehicle’s radiator.
Jove has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and two counts of felony vandalism.
