USA – -(Ammoland.com)- While there were more products on display at the Archery Trade Association (ATA) show than one could wrap your mind around, a few stood out to me while weaving in and out of the crowd going from meeting to meeting.

MTN Ops Enduro Trail Pack: In the age of the bowhunting athlete and working to maximize both physical and mental potential, it was hard not to stop by the Mountain OPS booth and take a look at what they have to offer. Their Enduro Trail Packs caught my eye for their size and functionality. Having a background in the food industries, I naturally read the label. Blended with a mix of L-Arginine and pepper extract, Enduro helps with circulation and clear waste from your muscles. On a long day in elk country, I can see this being a silver lining and look forward to taking some in deep this September.

Wicked Tree Gear: Over 90% of my deer hunts come out of a climber. Having a hand saw is a must. Once I left my saw in the truck and couldn’t climb a particular tree due to the branches obstructing my climb. Had I brought my saw, another big 8 would be on my wall. Wicked tree Gear has made a splash on the scene over the past few years for their quality saws. Recently, they were bought by Tecomate Wildlife Systems as they were growing quickly. The Wicked Tough Hand Saw ( tiny.cc/vm4m8x )  is built with a cast aluminum handle and high carbon steel blade. This is a much more quality saw than what granddad had in his pack. They are simply Wicked Tough and will be in my bag come fall.

Dog Bone Hunter: Dogs are mans best friend and over the past several years have seen a surge in their participation in recovering wounded deer and finding sheds. I met Jeremy Moore who is known as The Shed Dog Whisperer and his dog Tailer, who happens to be the official mascot of Whitetails Unlimited at the show. Dog Bone Shed Antler Training System is a three step system to training your bogs to find shed antlers. Dog Bone provides a soft dummy antler and antler scent for training. The proof of the system is in the photos of his and users’ success.

Beman ICS White Out Arrows: When checking out the Easton family of arrows, one easily finds themselves drawn to the power of the FMJ. How can you not? But the new Snow White arrow from the Beman brand caught my eye. Like it should. Not only does this arrow look great but the specs are solid. With a straightness of +/-.003 you can feel, I think the Beman ICS White Out Arrow is a great addition to the Beman line, especially for guys like me who have shot these arrows for years. I like the being able to see the arrow in low light or being able to get a better read on blood when trying to reconstruct what happened at the shot. I’m looking forward to testing these arrows out on the range and maybe taking them afield.

Revelation F4: The Revelation X4 from Real Avid did great breaking down my 2015 bull. It also left a heck of a scar on my left thumb. When I caught up with the Real Avid crew at the show, they introduced me to their new Real Avid Revelation F4 Folding Lighted Knife. A folding knife with a gut hook in 440 steel, I like the looks and feel of this knife and how it stores better in a pack than the X4 version. The F4 also comes with LED lights in the handle for those night time harvest recoveries.
