The second annual Firearms and Fashion show kicked off on May 12 in north Chicago.
The event is a collaborative effort by two local companies – AlphaGirls, a self-defense training and gear company, and Nickel and Lace, a designer and concealed-carry clothing company for women — that introduces women to firearms and the concept of self-defense.
The organizers of the show, Marilyn Smolenski of Nickel and Lace, and Karen Bartuch of AlphaGirls.
