NORTH CHESTERFIELD, Va., –-(Ammoland.com)- The new VICTORY HT 2.5-10×50 riflescope from Carl Zeiss has won Field & Stream magazine’s coveted Best of the Best award.
This highly regarded annual awards program recognizes the most innovative and best designed products in the hunting industry each year and the value these innovations bring to hunters.
Field & Stream test-team members rigorously test each item during a process dubbed the “Field & Stream Torture Tests.” Products are shot, bent, driven, dropped, and generally abused. Anything that falters is immediately eliminated. Beyond surviving the torture tests, winning products are ultimately selected based on significance of the innovation, the quality of the design, and the value they bring to outdoorsmen.
Here’s what the Field & Stream experts had to say about the VICTORY HT 2.5-10×50 in their September 2012 issue:
“Due to a slight miscommunication concerning the subzero riflescope testing procedure, we wound up freezing the Zeiss Victory into a 10-pound block of ice—and it survived the ordeal. The aberration-free 30mm HT features a 50mm objective lens, Schott glass, and Zeiss’s T* multicoatings. The second-focal-plane No. 60 duplex reticle utilizes an ultrafine illuminated dot operated by a large knurled side knob that pulls on to light up and dials a wide band of brightness levels. —T.M.”
The new, super-bright 30mm VICTORY HT riflescopes achieve an unprecedented light transmission of near 95% thanks to the state-of-the-art proprietary High Transmission (HT) glass by SCHOTT and enhanced T* multi-layer coatings. The VICTORY HT also comes with one of the most versatile reticles ever invented – Zeiss’ proprietary reticle # 60, featuring the world’s finest illuminated red dot for superior precision.
Available in 1.1-4×24, 1.5-6×42, 2.5-10×50 and 3-12×56 models, these durable high-performance VICTORY HT riflescopes come with Zeiss’ new ASV+ turret for quick ballistic compensation. Each scope has a complete set of ballistic rings for more hunting loads, allowing for easy, fast and accurate target acquisition and distance compensation with a quick turn of the elevation turret.
“We are truly honored to win another Best of the Best award and appreciate Field & Stream’s recognition of our innovations,” said Mike Jensen, President of Carl Zeiss Sports Optics. “Zeiss has a long history of optical firsts, and we raised the bar once again with our VICTORY HT line. The tremendous effort it took was worth it knowing that our customers experience maximum brightness and performance from ZEISS optics each and every hunt.”
