U.S.A. – -(Ammoland.com)- “House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie G. Thompson, D-Miss., was seeking extra protection for members of Congress on Monday after President Trump’s tweets and remarks about the progressive ‘squad,’” Fox News reported Monday. “In the letter for House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving and Senate Sergeant at Arms Michael Stenger, Thompson argued that the Capitol Police Board should meet to ‘analyze the current threat environment and set thresholds for enhanced safety of Members.’”
With that one action, Thompson advanced the fake meme that Americans who voted for the president based on his campaign promises are dangerous. Disregard that the armed “anarchist” lunatic who attacked the Tacoma ICE facility was a creature of the left. Ditto for the hate-filled piece of collectivist crap who shot up Republicans at the ball field.
With the Democrat-dominated House now pushing for a resolution to condemn the president’s “racist” comments, the other half of the smear job is complete, as so tellingly “articulated” by The Daily Beast:
“Trump Is a Racist. If You Still Support Him, So Are You.”
The president is an avatar for those who believe in what he pledged (even though delivery has been less than stellar). The destruction his enemies wish on him they wish on his supporters.
This is a continuation of the old SPLC “hate” smear, one used to great effect by those who find political advantage in chilling alternative thought by making those who would express it fear being tarred as racists and as “Nazis.” And as the calculated cultural Marxist saying goes, “Free speech isn’t hate speech.”
It’s no surprise that gutless “moderate” Republicans like Joni Ernst feel compelled to make sure everyone knows how much they agree with racism charges – like that will stop the Democrats from lumping her in with the “haters” the first chance they get.
The president actually leveled his criticism at:
“Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how…”
True, Ilhan Omar was born in Somalia and Rashida Tlaib was born in Detroit, the daughter of Palestinian immigrants. Other members of the so-called “Squad” were born here, but Trump never named names, so the manufactured Democrat and media presumption that he ignorantly meant all of them is just that. It’s “fake news” to spread the fake meme that he was telling “brown” and “black” women to get out of our “white” country.
If the president’s message is aimed at any color, it’s the Reds. These are avowed “socialists” whose interests are to culturally and economically terraform America as they systematically attempt to take over and control the very free institutions that made this a country people from more repressive lands want to flee to. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff admitted as much when he proclaimed the so-called Green New Deal “wasn’t originally a climate thing at all … we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.”
The failed ideology “The Squad” would impose on the Republic is a foreign one, and a big part of that would have to be enforced through citizen disarmament. You’d think someone who walked the talk would grasp that there is no more egalitarian power-sharing arrangement then the right of the people to keep and bear arms, but then again, we’re dealing with political frauds whose only real interest is unchallenged control. And that makes Bennie Thompson’s call for more police protection for his fellow gun-grabbers all the more hypocritical.
“As Members of Congress, the only country we swear an oath to is the United States,” Ilhan Omar tweeted to Donald Trump. It’s significant that no Democrat called her on that, because the oath they swear – and it says it right on the House website – is to the Constitution. Hers is a much greater political gaffe than Trump’s.
If she and they had any intention of honoring that oath, they’d stop trying to tear down the Second Amendment while providing armed security for themselves at taxpayer expense. And with all this talk of Americans who believe in nation and heritage being “white nationalists,” racists and haters, it’s not we Constitutionalists trying to keep peaceable women, people of color and people of alternate sexual identities unarmed, defenseless and reliant on police “protection” that can’t possibly arrive in time.
It’s them.
I’m reminded of a young lady I met when covering the Kent State open carry walk last year, an immigrant from Ghana who is now a proud American and a firm defender of the right to keep and bear arms. One “tolerant” leftist, an older African-American woman, enraged that a person who was born into a “monopoly of violence” did not share in her demands for disarmament, furiously dismissed her as a “house n*****.”
There’s an old saying from the Sixties that still rings true for “refugees” who would foolishly or maliciously erode the very unique protections of individuals that differentiated the U.S. from the rest of the world and made it the attraction that it is: “America, love it or leave it.”
Can there be anything more self-defeating than fleeing tyranny and crippling poverty and then helping subvert the political and economic system that made prosperity possible?
There’s another older saying that those who choose to immigrate here would do well to consider, this one attributed to Saint Ambrose:
“When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”
Don’t come here uninvited, especially those of you with your hands out, demand we adopt your ways, and then scream “Racist!” when some of us balk. Or do, and don’t be surprised when some of us refuse to surrender our arms and the country we built to foreign ways that are inimical to our freedom.
