Laramie, WY -(AmmoLand.com)- EKO Flood USA has come on board as a hunter sponsor of the 3rd annual Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt.
The company may not be one readily associated with Wyoming, but Heinz Munz, CEO of the company, recognizes the value hunting brings to Wyoming’s women and is sponsoring this year’s event. The hunt, which is the first event of its kind for women, will be held Oct. 8-11, 2015 at the Ranch at Ucross in northeastern Wyoming.
It was created by the Wyoming Women’s Foundation (WYWF) to promote camaraderie and mentorship for women through hunting, while raising awareness and funds for the Foundation. In just two years the hunt has raised more than $120,000, impacting grantmaking and special projects that improve the economic self-sufficiency of women and the future of girls across the state.
“We are so pleased that EKO Flood USA is sponsoring this year’s event.” says Shelley Simonton, two-time hunter and board chair of the Wyoming Women’s Foundation. “Their support helps the Wyoming Women’s Foundation preserve the hunting tradition for all those participating.”
The Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt, which began in 2013, welcomed over 35 hunters at last year’s event and expects even more attendees this year. Hunters from across the nation participate, including prominent leaders like retired Wyoming Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kite, who helped found the hunt. This year the hunt will welcome host of Skull Bound TV, Jana Waller as its special guest.
