EAA Warbirds of America put on a visually spectacular reenactment of the attack on Pearl Harbor at the 2013 AirVenture last Friday in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In their “Salute to Veterans” at the Wittman Regional Airport, the Warbirds took to the air with WWII combat aircraft, repeatedly buzzing the runway with accompanying pyrotechnics as spectators looked on in awe.
AirVenture is an annually held airshow, host to “the world’s greatest aviation celebration”. When it comes to aircraft, these guys have it all. Warbirds. Vintage. Homebuilts. Ultralights. Even JetMan. Pretty much anything that takes to the sky can likely be found at Oshkosh.
