DALLAS-(Ammoland.com)- Over the course of four days, visitors of the DSC 2017 Convention will have the opportunity to contribute to DSC conservation efforts of ensuring the future of hunting and protecting a proud heritage. Through a series of silent and live auctions, convention attendees can bid on a wide variety of multi-day hunts, artwork, firearms, luxury fishing excursions, jewelry and more. This week’s highlighted auction item is a Hill Country Rifles’ Genesis rifle in .300 Win Mag, valued at $8,500.

Hill Country Rifle’s Genesis rifle is the perfect marriage between beautiful English walnut and durable, stainless steel match-grade rifle components. The Genesis is custom-built on a CNC-machined, stainless steel action featuring a one-piece bolt body and handle machined from solid billet, M-16 style extractor and Timney trigger tuned to a crisp 2.75 pounds. The action is fitted with a perfectly chambered match-grade stainless steel, 24-inch barrel with recessed target crown.

Once the barrel work is complete, the action is aluminum pillar and glass-bedded into a gorgeous, handcrafted, exhibition grade English walnut stock. The aluminum pillar bedding and free-floating barrel make the rifle extremely accurate and ready for inclement conditions. The stock is hand-checkered and finished in a beautiful yet durable hand-rubbed oil finish. The stock features English ball sling studs and a perfectly fitted one-inch Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. All metal is coated in a tough, rustproof Cerakote finish for added durability and a traditional appearance. This rifle package includes a Swarovski 3-10×42 scope mounted in Talley Signature mounts. The rifle is already sighted in and fully tested for accuracy with factory ammunition and is guaranteed to shoot three-shot, half-inch groups at 100 yards with recommended factory ammunition.

The DSC Convention and Expo will be at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center and Omni Hotel in Dallas Jan. 5-8, 2017. Sportsmen and women are invited to be a part of another record-breaking event to help support conservation, education and hunter advocacy initiatives around the world. The theme this year is Adventure.

The expo offers 2017’s first opportunity to shop for hunts with top outfitters from around the globe. Displays also include world-class sporting gear, firearms, art, collectibles, entertainment, seminars, auctions and more. Together, attractions cover the space of nearly nine football fields.

Daily admission to the convention is $20 per person, with multi-day and discounted family packages available. Children under 12 and active military (with ID) are free of charge.
