This Memorial Day DPMS is giving away an AP4 Carbine to remember those who have given all in the line of service. The AP4 Carbine is their M4-patterned AR, similar to the most widely used rifle by the U.S. military.
DPMS is holding a drawing for the carbine open to everyone in the lower 48 through Woobox, a social engagement tool for giveaways. People are welcome to apply daily through May 25 for extra chances to win.
The DPMS AP4 Carbine has been a staple rifle for the company with the general public and law enforcement. Based on the M4 the AP4 is fit with a full set of A2-style parts and accessories, including the six-position telescoping stock, pistol grip, carry handle rear sight and flash hider.
The AP4 has a 16-inch M4-profile barrel with a carbine-length direct impingement gas system and ships with an aluminum 30-round magazine where available. It’s largely built to MIL-SPEC using forged 7075-T6 alloy receivers; the one deviation is that the barrel has a 1-in-9-inch twist to accommodate commercial ammo that is commonly loaded with light projectiles.
Naturally the rifle is chambered for .223 Remington/5.56 NATO and like the M4 weighs just about 7 pounds dry. The AP4 has an MSRP of $959 and a retail price in the mid-$800s making this an easy contest to enter, even for shooters not ordinarily interested in these vanilla builds.
