Austin, TX –-(Ammoland.com)- When last we spoke, DD had just revealed its printed AR-15 magazine.
This magazine has been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times across its different versions, and it has been printed in a number of media through different technologies.
In January we renamed the AR magazine series “Cuomo” in honor of New York’s petty despot.
The significance of this feat was not lost on Glenn Beck, who invited me down to Dallas to speak to him in the middle of January. That interview follows:
DEFCAD traffic has been explosive. We stumbled into something incredible with this file hub. After each official DefDist release, traffic balloons and new torrents pop up with our files. This has been further fed by the fact that since January we’ve been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, on PBS, Ars Technica, The BBC, Al Jazeera, and a host of other large publications and programs. And there are more features to come.
What has the world currently listening is this little video we released at the end of February:
Printable lower receivers are meaningfully here. They can be printed in affordable FDM technologies. You can see our notes on this latest version at the Blog.
On March 11, I will be speaking at SXSW in Austin, TX on Defense Distributed and this printable future of ours. Please see the schedule, if you would like to attend. We’ve opened a web shop that I think will expand going forward. Right now we’re offering 100 of our printable magazines as politically significant mementos, but expect shirts and traditional kinds of merchandise to populate the catalog soon enough. All proceeds will go toward the Wiki Weapon project.
More updates after SXSW! Expect to see my mean mug on NBC nightly news.
Thank you for your support and interest so far.
