The Open, Metallic and Production Divisions of the MidwayUSA/NRA Bianchi Cup vary in how many modifications competitors are allowed to make to their firearms. The Open Division allows guns or sights to be modified in any fashion while Metallic Division participants may only equip their firearms with metallic sights. The Production Division is the strictest of the three, prohibiting shooters from using pistols that have been altered in any way.
The world-renowned pistol competition draws shooters from across the globe. In 2010, shooters represented Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand and the United States.
