Hamburg, PA., –-(Ammoland.com)- Ever wonder what it takes to win a world-class level competition six times and then set a new world record on the mover?

Then don’t miss this week’s show as Doug Koenig heads to the Bluegrass state of Kentucky to compete in the Open Division at the World Action Pistol Championship.

Doug explains how he prepares for a match of this magnitude which includes world-class competitors, a world title on the line and the importance of having the best equipment possible. Doug’s winning combination included his S&W Performance Center DK 38 Super 1911 resting in a Safariland 014 Holster and ELS belt. With a Leupold Gilmore Red Dot and shooting Hornady 110 grain XTP bullets, Doug delivers a world class performance.

In addition to demonstrating the ideal shooting stance, tonight you’ll get to look over Doug’s shoulder as the camera captures the accuracy of Hornady bullets hitting the X-ring on the Mover.

Held every two years, the World Action Pistol Championships is as much about camaraderie among the shooters as it is about the competition.

Koenig said, “While I’ve been competing now for 27 years, it’s the great friendships I’ve developed over the years; reuniting at a world-class level competition here in the U.S. was even more meaningful.”
