USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Nineteen individuals and three gun dog rescue groups are winners in the fifth-annual Wingshooting USA TV “Fiocchi Friends … and Friends photo contest.”
Winning photos will appear in the 2019 Fiocchi catalog, American Brittany Rescue will receive $1,000 and a ton of Victor Super Premium pet food to distribute to caretakers and adopters of rescued hunting dogs. Boykin Spaniel Rescue will receive $500, and California German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue will receive $100 donated by Wingshooting USA host/creator Scott Linden.
The contest supports Fiocchi’s long-standing goal of helping bird hunters honor their dogs in a unique way – featured in the company’s catalog. The ton of dog food and cash donations were new features this year to help raise awareness of the work hunting dog rescue organizations do. Photo submissions can be seen at the Fiocchi Facebook page: Facebook.com/Fiocchi.of.USA. Two individual winners’ photos were chosen based on number of fan votes submitted, the remainder chosen by Fiocchi judges. Fans also voted for hunting dog rescue groups, with the Brittany group garnering the most votes, the Boykin group second-most votes, and the shorthair group third-most votes.
In addition to appearing in the Fiocchi catalog, some winning photos will appear in television commercials airing on Linden’s show, and winners will receive Fiocchi-branded gear as well.
The ammunition company founded in 1876 now operates as Fiocchi Munizioni SpA in Lecco, Italy. Fiocchi of America, a wholly-owned division, manufactures ammunition for the American market from a factory in Ozark, Missouri.
