When an officer from the Denver Police Department responded to a call around 10:30 p.m. about a domestic disturbance last month, he found the center of the couple’s argument to be disturbing and instead of making an arrest, set out to do what he could to help the couple.

The argument stemmed from the fact that the couple had four small children and their grandfather to feed, but no means to provide a meal. While the father voluntarily left the home so everyone could cool off, the mother was still concerned about feeding the family.

Officer TJ Young determined no crime had been committed, and left the home – only a short time later he returned with food for the entire family which he had purchased at a nearby local restaurant with money from his own pocket.

Knowing the kids could go to bed with full bellies, Young returned to his patrol.
