Davidson’s dropped five new Ruger products in the Mark IV and commander-style SR1911 series featuring colorful anodized frames or receivers.
Exclusive to Davidson’s, the Mark IV 22/45 Lite comes with a green, red or purple anodized receiver. The pistols feature a fixed front sight and an adjustable rear. Boasting a 4.40-inch threaded barrel, the Mark IV model provides a grip angle and controls that are similar to that of a 1911. The anodized receivers are machined from aluminum and ventilated to lighten the pistol’s overall feel. In addition, the receivers are drilled and tapped and a Picatinny rail is included for optics mounting.
The Ruger SR1911 features a classic aesthetic but with a colorful twist of either red or purple. The commander sized 1911 boasts a 4.25-inch barrel chambered in .45 ACP. Alongside the red anodized finish, Davidson’s has also outfitted the model with red laminate grips and a low glare stainless steel slide. In addition to the commander sized, Davidson’s offers an exclusive lightweight commander 1911 chambered in 9mm. The slide also touts a low glare stainless steel finish while the lightweight aluminum frame offers a purple finish paired with purple laminate grips to match.
“We are happy to be able to offer our customers some great Ruger products in some alternative colors options. Many times customers want something other than plain black, blued or stainless,” Davidson’s Director of Purchasing Kane Cannedy said in a press release.
The Mark IV models offer pricing at $559 while the SR1911 comes in at $1,039.
