Daniel Defense will launch two new Cerakote finishes for its new DDM4V7 series of rifles. The rugged-looking rifles feature catchy color names such as the Daniel Defense Tornado, a deep gray color, and the Mil-Spec +, a rich brown tone. These additions join the traditional black color to offer shooters more options when it comes to aesthetics.
The DDM4V7 is one of Daniel Defense’s most lightweight 5.56mm rifles. Weight in at 6.2 pounds unloaded this series is also one of the first in the company’s lineup to be equipped with the MFR XS rail with M-LOK attachment technology on the free-floating 15-inch rail. This gives shooters a modular direct-attach mounting system that lock accessories onto “negative space” mounting points. In addition, the rifle features an uninterrupted Picatinny rail on top.
The V7 utilizes a mid-length gas system, providing smooth, reliable cycling and reduced perceived recoil. The DD Flash Suppressor eliminates muzzle flash while the Daniel Defense buttstock and pistol grip make for a maneuverable 16-inch-barrel rifle.
The Cerakote finished V7’s retail for $1,847 while the standard black finish is a little more cost effective at $1,679.
