DALLAS, TX – -(Ammoland.com)- Dallas Safari Club (DSC) announces the hiring of outdoor industry veteran Kim Rappleye, who joins the successful conservation organization as the group’s first Chapter Development Coordinator, effective November 23 2015.
As DSC’s Chapter Development Coordinator, Rappleye will be in charge of developing and growing the organization’s newly established Chapter Network.
Through the new Chapter Network, like-minded conservation groups without geographical ties to the club are eligible to seek local chapter status in order to be an influential part in achieving DSC’s vision of a society that values wildlife, engages in its conservation, and understands and supports the role of well-regulated hunting in the sustainable use of wild resources.
Already, DSC’s Chapter Network has added local chapters in West Texas and the Northeastern United States.
“Our Chapter Network is a very high priority for DSC as we work to conserve wildlife and habitat and protect hunters’ rights around the world. There’s no better person suited to this new role than Kim Rappleye,” said DSC Executive Director Ben Carter. “His passion for conservation and his ability to connect with local groups to unite them towards a common goal will be invaluable to DSC.”
No stranger to the outdoor industry and the world of conservation, Rappleye most recently worked for Safari Club International as the group’s Field Operations Manager. Prior to that, Rappleye worked for the NRA in field operations. In addition to his work with other conservation organizations, such as RMEF, Rappleye also enjoyed success as a businessman, retail store owner and real estate developer.
“DSC’s Chapter Network is a partnership for progress – the chapters are partners, not groups beholden to some large, governing body,” said Rappleye, who will be headquartered in Utah. “I welcome the opportunity to work with local chapters and building a partnership for mission accomplishment that leads to success in North America and beyond.”
Conservation organizations interested in becoming affiliate chapters of DSC should contact the Kim Rappleye at (435) 213-3274 or kim@biggame.org.
