Twitter users have found their Independent candidate, the one worthy of a “write in” vote for President of the United States: David Brown, Dallas Chief of Police.
All eyes have been on Brown for nearly a week following the deadly ambush in Dallas. Brown, who has been clearly and understandably exhausted, has managed to keep the public informed on happenings in the case, offered suggestions for better community and police relations, and even managed to squeeze in a joke or two in the midst of serious – and emotional – press conferences.
Brown has won the hearts of many and earned the hashtag #DavidBrownForPresident, with more than just a few saying he’s a far better option than what’s currently on the table.
No word on whether he would accept that nomination, but meanwhile, the hashtag is trending.
