Loveland, Col. (Ammoland.com) – Crosstac, the innovator behind tactical/shooting gear for the serious competitor to the beginner shooter, is pleased to announce it has signed Laura Burgess Marketing (LBM) as its agency of record. LBM will represent Crosstac in matters pertaining to public, media and social relations.
Crosstac founder and president, Bret Heidkamp, found a problem with poorly designed gear for competitive shooters over 17 years ago, and did something about it. As a serious shooter himself, he continually ran into products that were clearly not designed by shooters. From IPSC Open Class to early long-range rifle matches, such as the International Tactical Rifleman Championship (ITRC), he gathered ideas for potential products along the way. He teamed up with fellow firearms enthusiast, Steve Nettik, whose background in product design and manufacturing helped bring the projects from concept to reality. Crosstac’s first product was the Ambi Sling Connector and slowly but surely, Crosstac started a loyal following of fans.
Bret and Steve focused on keeping products American-made to assure quality up to their exacting standards. Crosstac is not a company to make products for product sake because every product they develop is a problem solver. Take for example their Precision Long Range Shooting Mat. Every nylon gear company sells a shooting mat, but it takes a competitive shooter to realize what functionality needs to be designed into the mat for the benefit of the shooter. The Crosstac Precision Long Range Shooting Mat rolls out flat and stays flat, even in the coldest weather. It’s wide enough for the rifle and the shooter at the same time and rugged enough to keep the terrain from poking through or annoying the shooter. It’s the shooting mat of choice for the USA F-Class T/R Shooting Team.
Another item that Crosstac has taken to a new level is their D-2 Tactical Belt, the first belt that can fully conceal a super-thin Boker Credit Card knife comfortably. Other design firsts are their Pro-Maintenance Mat that is really a portable range/bench mat with embedded magnets to keep those small parts from getting lost, and lots of pouches and zippered compartments to keep it organized, plus Impact pads to drive pins or drift sights. Crosstac’s innovation is purpose-driven by shooters for shooters.
“We’ve done very well in this industry, mainly because we make a superior product that fulfills the needs and expectations of shooters,” Heidkamp said. “We are ready to expand the Crosstac brand into a larger audience and for that we have signed up with Laura Burgess Marketing. Our goal is to increase awareness of our product offerings and performance throughout the shooting sports industry and we feel comfortable that LBM is the team to do it.”
