Wilsonville, OR – -(Ammoland.com)- Crimson Trace, America’s leading brand of laser sighting systems and tactical lighting products for firearms, notes that the world’s premier 3-Gun competition—the 3rd Annual Midnight 3-Gun Invitational (M3GI)—is underway.
During the next week the event will host many of the shooting industry’s leading editors, writers, broadcasters and bloggers. Those media members have traveled to the COSSA range in central Oregon and will be completing a laser and firearms training course, then testing their new skills on the gun range—at night.
This unequalled night shooting competition will also host some of the nation’s top marksmen and women, Olympic athletes and competitive shooters. The teams of shooting competitors also include gun manufacturer representatives, TV personalities from the nation’s leading shooting shows, media members and assorted gear producers. The competitors will shoot their way through 10 stages in the dark desert night with the aid of lights and lasers on their firearms. Dust, cold temperatures, rocks, and many other obstacles will work against them—along with the ticking time clock.
The popular Midnight 3-Gun Invitational contest only occurs in complete darkness—when the sun sinks, the shooting starts up. The previous competitions have found competitors seeking and engaging targets into the wee hours of the following morning. All competitors will race the rising sun to post their best times and points.
Additionally, if those challenged competitors use Crimson Trace laser equipped firearms in all competition stages, they could win up to $10,000 prize dollars. The growing list of M3GI sponsors now includes: Optics Planet, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Smith & Wesson, Mossberg, Danner, ERGO Grips and many other manufacturers and distributors.
Crimson Trace’s mission is to enhance people’s ability to protect family, home and country. More details on the Wilsonville, Oregon based company and its 160-plus products can be discovered at www.crimsontrace.com or are available by calling 800-442-2406.
