Ohio –-(Ammoland.com)- Could Ohio be the next Kansas?

On Tuesday April 7th 2015 Rep. Ron Hood introduced HB 147 which would remove the necessity to get a license to carry a handgun (open or concealed) in Ohio!

While it is still very early in the legislative process, and there will be many hurdles to overcome, Ohioans for Concealed Carry (OFCC) stands proudly with the 20 co-sponsors of this bill to proclaim that enumerated rights should not require government licensure.

You don’t need a permit to buy/carry a bible (or printing press, or megaphone) and we believe that what is good for the first amendment is also good for the second. It has always been the goal of OFCC to attain Vermont/Alaska/Kansas style carry legal status. Here is a link to the Columbus Dispatch story about the bill:

Bill would allow Ohioans to carry concealed firearms with no permit, training

In case you were wondering what OFCC’s folks push for when they meet with our legislators in Columbus, this is it! There are a number of details we speak up for, but this is the big prize we have so long sought. It’ll take a lot more work to seal the deal, though.

If you agree that we should be supporting this sort of legislation please help OFCC by donating to the cause here.

If you aren’t yet an OFCC member please join here.

If you are an OFCC member, THANK YOU!!! Please consider renewing or upgrading your membership here.

Sincerely,

Ohioans for Concealed Carry
