Pierre, SD -(AmmoLand.com)- Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) workshops are underway across the state; hosted by Pheasants Forever habitat advisors for landowners interested in enrolling land into the program.
The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) is encouraging landowners interested in enrolling land into CRP to attend these upcoming workshops to learn how to maximize the score of a General CRP offer to the Farm Service Agency (FSA). FSA is accepting applications for General CRP through Feb. 26, 2016.
Other topics discussed at these workshops includes: haying and grazing allowance on CRP enrolled lands, options for enrollment under Continuous CRP and the new Grassland CRP option.
