New Berlin, Wis. –(Ammoland.com)- MeatEater with Steven Rinella, a finalist in the 2014 Sportsman Choice Awards, welcomes back the comedic duo of Joe Rogan and Bryan Callen, whose infectious personalities make for an entertaining hunting journey through Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. The comedians join Rinella on a backpacking hunt for blacktail deer in a vast and unforgiving landscape, where sunshine is hard to come by and the deer are as elusive as a storm-free day.
MeatEater airs exclusively on Sportsman Channel on Thursday, January 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
With high winds and a yearly average rainfall of 160 inches, Prince of Wales Island still remains one of Rinella’s favorite places to hunt. Rogan and Callen, good friends and comedians, join
Rinella for a shot at a Sitka blacktail deer. Despite constant rainfall and rolling mountains eerily clad with dense fog, the trio did not let the elements hinder their attempts for a worthy harvest.
“My hunting trip with Rogan and Callen is one of my absolute favorites of the season,” said Rinella. “Prince of Wales Island is a second home to me, albeit cold, rainy and quite honestly downright miserable at times. But it’s the extreme challenge that always makes the few days of sunshine and foraging through the damp terrain that much more worthwhile.”
