SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. –-(Ammoland.com)- Just weeks away from the start of the most dynamic match in the shooting sports, the 2010 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships, the Steel Challenge Shooting Association announced that Colt’s Manufacturing, Cold Steel and Chiappa Firearms are supporting the event as gold level sponsors.

“The list of major sponsors to the Steel Challenge continues to grow with Colt’s Manufacturing, Cold Steel and Chiappa, and the response from shooters to the news of so many top industry names backing the match has been tremendous,” said Tammy Mowry, Steel Challenge sponsor coordinator.

Colt, Cold Steel and Chiappa are just the latest industry leaders backing the match, joining the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Smith & Wesson, Safariland, Sig Sauer, Browning, Glock, Ruger, Springfield Armory, ADCO and Vang Comp Systems as major sponsors of the 2010 Steel Challenge World Speed Shooting Championships.

The Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA), the national governing body for the sport of Speed Shooting, is the organizer of the Steel Challenge which will take place August 19 through 22 in Piru, Calif. The competition is the premier showcase for the fastest shooters from around the world.

Since the first Steel Challenge in 1981, the World Speed Shooting Championships has become a fixture on the match calendars of top shooters and industry leaders alike.
