Colt Manufacturing is introducing a raft of new and updated firearms this year. Here’s a view of what’s offered for the civilian market.
1911 government size models
Delta Elite: Now available in 10mm with a five-inch barrel and brushed stainless finish. Eight-round magazine capacity. MSRP: $1,099.
Delta Elite Rail Gun: as above, with an accessory rail. MSRP: $1,299.
Gold Cup Trophy: Available in 45 ACP, 9mm, and 38 Super. Brushed stainless finish with a five-inch barrel and 25 LPI checkering. Includes one eight- and one nine-round mag. Features Colt’s trademarked Series 70 firing system. MSRP: $1,699.
Stainless Steel Competition: Available in 45 ACP, 9mm, and 38 Super. Includes one eight- and one nine-round mag. MSRP: $1,099.
1911 commander size models
Defender: Ready in 45 ACP and 9mm. Features a black cerakote aluminum receiver and blued carbon steel slide over a three-inch barrel. The mag packs seven rounds of 45 or eight of 9mm. MSRP: $949.
Combat Commander: Available in 45 ACP and 9mm. It has a blued carbon steel receiver and slide with a 4.25-inch barrel. Magazine capacity is eight or nine rounds depending on caliber. MSRP: $949.
Wiley Clapp 9mm Commander: Has a black anodized aluminum receiver and blued carbon steel slide. Barrel is 4.25 inches. The mag holds nine rounds. Pete single checkering in 25 LPI lends to the custom look. MSRP: $1,159.
5.56 NATO Carbines
Colt Combat Unit Carbine: This standard AR operates with a mid-length gas system. The 16.1-inch barrel has a 1:7 twist. It comes with an M-Lok-ready, free-float forend. MSRP is $1,299.
M16A1 Reissue: A classic revisited. The 20-inch barrel has 1/12 rifling. MSRP: $2.499.
Revolver
Cobra: The buzz at SHOT Show would indicate we’ve saved the best for last. The beloved 38 Special with +P rating is back. The stainless steel frame has a six-round cylinder. On top is a two-inch barrel with fiber optic front sight. MSRP: $699.
