Charlotte, NC –-(Ammoland.com)-  The Basic Freedom Defense Fund announced that they have officially submitted 16,046 District 11 voter petition signatures to the Colorado Secretary of State for the recall of state Senator John Morse (D-11).

As President of the Colorado Senate, Morse played an instrumental role in passing the most onerous and restrictive legislation in Colorado’s history earlier this year.

7,178 valid voter signatures are necessary to complete the recall effort.  The submitted petition signatures and addresses will now need to be verified by the Secretary of State.  If the verified count exceeds the required 7,178 signatures, Morse will be given five working days from that time to decide whether or not to resign his office, or face a recall election.

Thank you to all NRA members and Second Amendment supporters who assisted with this effort.  Stay tuned to NRA-ILA for further updates on the Morse recall.
