Colin Kearns Named Editor-In-Chief of Field & Stream Magazine

New York, NY -(AmmoLand.com)- Colin Kearns has been named Editor-in-Chief of Field & Stream; It was announced today by Anthony Licata, Editorial Director, Lifestyle Group, Bonnier Corp.

This appointment is effective immediately. Kearns was promoted from his role as Field & Stream’s Senior Deputy Editor, where he drove many of the brand’s major editorial projects, including cover packages, video projects and integrated marketing programs. Kearns has built his career at Bonnier’s outdoor magazines, writing and editing for Salt Water Sportsman before being named Senior Editor at Field & Stream in 2008.

Kearns succeeds Anthony Licata, who will remain in his role as Editorial Director of the Bonnier Lifestyle Group. He oversees the editorial staff and direction of Popular Science, SAVEUR, Field & Stream, Popular Photography, American Photo, and Outdoor Life. Licata is a widely respected authority not only in hunting and fishing circles, but also in wildlife and land conservation. He has been with Bonnier for almost two decades, earning Field & Stream nearly a dozen National Magazine Award nominations and two wins in the prestigious General Excellence Category in 2009 and 2014. Licata will continue to work closely with all the Bonnier Lifestyle Group titles as well as on the re-launch of Popular Science under the leadership of newly appointed Editor-in-Chief Joe Brown. He will also contribute hunting and fishing content to Field & Stream.

Kearns is a graduate of Indiana University. He lives in Manhattan with his wife, but is always on the lookout for the chance to sneak away for a quick fishing trip.
