Charlotte, NC –-(Ammoland.com)-  Earlier this week, the Colorado Springs Police Protective Association (PPA) endorsed Bernie Herpin in the Senate District 11 recall election on Tuesday, September 10th 2013.

The Colorado Springs PPA represents a community of active and retired police officers in Colorado Springs.

Since the Colorado Springs PPA is committed to improve public safety, it comes as little surprise that this organization has thrown its weight behind Bernie Herpin.  Herpin’s opponent, state Senator John Morse, undermines the mission and commitment of the Colorado Springs PPA.  During the most recent legislative session, Senator Morse aggressively pursued legislation that targets law-abiding citizens and erodes your inherent right to self-defense, while ignoring legislation to increase safety and security in the Centennial State.

When speaking about Morse’s tenure in the Colorado Senate, Officer Barry Freeman stated, “John Morse didn’t ask for our [Colorado Springs PPA] input on public safety issues and consequently passed legislation that made our jobs tougher.”  Another officer, Mike Ray, said “While we’re working to keep our streets safe for law-abiding citizens, Senator Morse has disarmed law-abiding citizens.”

The choice is clear.  Vote YES to recall Senator John Morse on September 10 and vote for Bernie Herpin as his successor in Senate District 11.
