Akron, OH -(AmmoLand.com)- H&M Blacknitride, setting the new standard in surface treatment and steel hardening for the firearms industry congratulates their sponsored shooters Bruce Piatt, Tony Holmes and Doug Koenig with a clean sweep finish at the Midsouth Shooters Crawfish Cup.
The match, now in its fifth year, was held at the Southwest Louisiana Rifle & Pistol Club in Lake Charles with a record breaking field of 87 competitors.
Defending 2015 Champion Bruce Piatt, won the Overall Regional Champion title with a perfect score of 1920-176x, followed by runner up Tony Holmes and Doug Koenig, all shooting Open Class Division.
Piatt commented, “It was great to return to the Crawfish Cup as my third match of the 2016 season. All three have been 1st place finishes so let’s hope this winning streak keeps rolling right into next month’s Bianchi Cup.”
The Crawfish Cup is comprised of the Practical, Barricade, Moving Target and the Falling Plate events which are the same course of fire at the upcoming NRA Bianchi Cup scheduled for May 24, 2016. Many top Action Pistol competitors compete at the Crawfish Cup to make final adjustments to their firearms, maximize trigger time and quell nerves prior to Bianchi Cup.
