Carbon County Wyoming Antelope Hunt on Leupold’s Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg

BOZEMAN, Mont. (Ammoland.Com) – A shortened public land antelope hunt isn’t going to stop Randy Newberg, Hunter, from taking advantage of the time he has to make fresh tracks in central Wyoming on this week’s Leupold’s Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg. A five day antelope hunt is shortened to two days for Newberg as his wife has a major surgery scheduled on day three, so will Lady Luck smile upon him to get packed out in time?

Tune in to Leupold’s Fresh Tracks with Randy Newberg on Sportsman Channel on Wednesday, August 5 at 9:30 p.m. MT. Watch a preview here: http://www.thesportsmanchannel.com/shows/fresh-tracks-randy-newberg/

“Anyone who watches my TV shows knows pronghorn and Randy go together. We are talking like ice cream and chocolate,” said Newberg. “The first day is still scouting and figuring it out and sorting it out. Usually that results in success the next day or two. Usually.”

Fresh Tracks Randy NewbergAfter glassing the entire length of day one, Newberg still hasn’t found ‘the one.’ He arrives at the crack of dawn on day two to get a head start of finding his buck. “If you can be out here within the first half hour of sunlight, the white parts of the antelope stand out like lights on a Christmas tree,” Newberg shares.

It is no mystery why Newberg is hunting this portion of Wyoming. According to the Boone & Crockett record books, more B&C antelope come from this area than any other. But will Newberg be able to put his name down on that honored list? Tune in Wednesday night on Sportsman Channel to find out if being lucky is better than being good.
