NEWTOWN, Conn – -(Ammoland.com)- Earlier last week, National Shooting Sports Foundation , along with 35 national sportsmen’s and conservation groups representing millions of hunters, anglers, and target shooters, sent a letter (below) to Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) urging him to stop blocking progress on portions of the Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act in the U.S. Senate.
The Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act, along with the House version, the SHARE Act, is the most important piece of legislation to sportsmen in a generation.
The SHARE Act passed the House two weeks ago with overwhelming bipartisan support.
There is also overwhelming bipartisan support in the Senate for the bill, but Sen. Lee, along with one or two other senators is preventing the Senate from being allowed to vote on the bill.
All sportsmen-conservationists, including hunters, anglers and target shooters, should call Sen. Lee at 202-224-5444 and urge him to lift his hold, and allow the Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act to get a vote in the U.S. Senate.
