The “Cajun Army,” scores of volunteers and officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department worked together Saturday to distribute food to area flood victims as part of “Operation SupaChickn.”
The goal was to hand out 20,000 meals to needy families and, according to the police department’s Facebook page, the event was such a success by 2:00 p.m. they were summoning anyone with the will, a grill and charcoal to come help cook chicken.
