Colorado ––(Ammoland.com)- It seems there isn’t a day that passes by where anti-gunners in Washington, D.C. aren’t concocting schemes to crush your Second Amendment rights.

If it wasn’t bad enough that the Senate Judiciary Committee is meeting this week to craft legislation banning so-called “Assault Weapons,” Magazines, redundant Federal “trafficking” bills and bans on private sales on firearms . . .

Harry Reid has scheduled a vote tomorrow to install another one of Barack Obama’s appointees to the D.C.’s Court of Appeals.

As you know, I’ve made sure members like you know about the dangerous backgrounds of Obama’s nominees such as Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, Cass Sunstein and of course, Eric Holder.

Now we can add Caitlin Halligan to Obama’s long line of anti-gun judicial nominees.

Halligan is a stereo-typical leftist judicial activist who views the bench more as a progressive pulpit than a position for the application of the law.

In May of 2003, Halligan spoke before a crowd in White Plains, New York where she talked about her involvement in bringing forth lawsuits against gun manufacturers. And what was the claim?

It was Halligan’s belief that manufacturers of firearms be held liable to victims for any crime that criminals commit with a firearm.

This kind of absurd lawsuit is what you expect from radical anti-gun activists, not someone being considering for a Federal Court!

She went on to say that the “Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act” which prohibits frivolous lawsuits against firearms manufacturers:

“would nullify lawsuits brought by nearly 30 cities and counties –including one filed by my office—as well as scores of lawsuits brought by individual victims or groups harmed by gun violence . . . . Such an action would likely cut off at the pass any attempt by States to find solutions – through the legal system or their own legislatures – that might reduce gun crime or promote greater responsibility among gun dealers.”

Statements and lawsuits of this nature would make Sonia Sotomayor blush!

It’s clear the anti-gunners in the Senate don’t want you and I paying attention to this vote, they have enough to worry about with the President breathing down their necks to pass gun control.

Let’s remind them that gun owners are watching.

Here’s what you can do to help:

  • Call both of your U.S. Senators today. (202) 224-3121.
  • Urge them to VOTE NO on anti-gun judicial nominee Caitlin Halligan.

Please, don’t delay.

The Senate is expect to vote on Halligan’s nomination later this week. Call your U.S. Senators TODAY.

For Freedom,
Dudley Brown
Executive Vice President

P.S. While the Senate Judiciary committee is trying to make a deal for more gun control, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is trying to fast track anti-gun Obama’s anti-gun 9th Circuit Court nominee Caitlin Halligan.
