Cody WY –-(Ammoland.com)- A hundred shooters make their way to Cody, Wyoming, August 8-10, 2013, for the Buffalo Bill Center of the West’s 20th Annual Buffalo Bill Invitational Shootout.
Held in cooperation with the Cody Shooting Complex. Shootout proceeds benefit the Center’s Cody Firearms Museum.
The Shootout is a 350-target shoot where competitors of all skill levels shoot skeet, trap, five-stand, and sporting clays with all gauges of shotguns. There are three categories of awards: Top Gun, Top Discipline Shooter, and Top Team. Extraordinary prizes and auction items are also on tap.
All prizes will be awarded on a Lewis class system with a minimum of four classes. Competition begins at 9 a.m.
Friday, August 9 at the Cody Shooting Complex, approximately five miles north of Cody on Wyoming Highway 120. Competition continues Saturday with an awards dinner that evening. Spectators are welcome at the actual shooting competition which takes place regardless of weather.
Shootout registration begins at 5 p.m. Thursday, August 8, at the Center of the West with a cocktail party for shooters and their guests, as well as, a Calcutta with teams determined on a random draw basis.
