Browning’s elegant .380: The BDA (VIDEO)

Hickok45 laid hands on a 1982-vintage BDA, the classic .380 “Italian Browning” and put it through its paces.

Made under contract by Beretta for FN with lines that pay homage to their Model 84, the gun was sold as the FN Model 140DA overseas (and offered in both .32ACP and .380) but here in the states it was the Browning BDA and competed against the Wondernine market.

The gun was introduced in 1978 and put to pasture about 20 years ago, but they are sweet shooting pistols with a certain panache that puts them into the “modern classic” category.

And Hick’s borrowed steel-framed nickle finished gun certainly fits the bill.
