Browning launched four new models in the Silver semi-automatic shotgun line, introducing the Silver Black Lightning, Silver Matte Hunter, Silver Matte Hunter Micro Midas and Silver Rifled Deer Matte.
The Silver shotguns boast a self-adjusting Active Value gas system that diverts gases in order to operate the action instead of increasing recoil. Remaining gases are vented out the top of the forearm and away from the receiver for cleaner operation.
The 12-gauge 3-inch models are equipped to deal with a variety of loads to include 1-ounce field loads to heavier 3-inch magnums. The 3 1/2-inch models is built to similar specs but can take on 1 1/8-ounce field loads to 3 1/2- inch magnum loads. Each of the new models touts a lightweight aluminum alloy receiver, three Invector-Plus choke tubes, brass front bead sight and Inflex recoil pad.
The Silver Black Lightning boasts upgraded features such as a gloss black receiver finish paired with a gloss blued barrel finish and lightning-style, gloss finish buttstock and forearm made from Grade 2.5 Turkish Walnut. The Black Lightning retails for $1,259.99.
The Silver Matte Hunter and Matte Hunter Micro Midas are equipped with silver/matte black bi-tone receiver finish with matte blued barrel and satin finish walnut stock. The Micro Midas comes with one 14-inch stock spacer. Both models are available in 20 and 12 gauge options. Suggested retail price for both models comes in at $1,149.99.
