The Smith M&P M2.0 is a one-of-a-kind entry to Brownell’s “Dream Gun” inspirations and the only thing missing from this custom pistol is apple pie.
Starting with the newly-introduced M2.0, the online parts mega-house swapped out the stock trigger with an Apex Tactical AEK. To get the most out of the updated 9mm squeezebox, they modified the slide to accept a Trijicon RMR LED optic with a 6.5 MOA red dot.
Letting Freedom ring a little quieter, the factory barrel was traded in for a 4.25-inch Apex threaded barrel to match a Gemtech Lunar-45 suppressor can.
The whole thing was coated in a red, white and blue patriotic scheme by Battle Arms Development while keeping the ergonomics and tactile enhancements of the new model Smith intact.
“The All American Dream Gun is a tribute to the great American spirit of freedom and independence,” said Pete Brownell, CEO of Brownells, in a statement, noting the companies involved were all domestic.
Other Brownell’s Dream Guns created for and inspired by SHOT Show 2017 are a more sedate but no less patriotic Tangodown Glock, a Wilson Combat X-Tac 1911 with onboard light, and a Zev Custom Glock complete with a Streamlight TLR 2HL and other tweaks.
