Laramie, WY -(AmmoLand.com)- The Wyoming Women’s Foundation is pleased to announce that BP, an industry leader in oil and gas, has stepped up as the title sponsor for the Wyoming Women’s Foundation Antelope Hunt.

Director of the Wyoming Women’s Foundation, Sarah McCance, is thrilled about the announcement.

“Wyoming’s outdoors is the perfect setting for this event. Women form lasting relationships and keep a rich Wyoming tradition alive; this really is the spirit of the hunt. Sponsors like BP are the lifeblood of this great opportunity. We are so grateful for their very generous support of Wyoming’s women, girls and communities.”

The Wyoming Women’s Foundation (WYWF) created the hunt in 2013 to promote camaraderie and mentorship among women through hunting. The event raises awareness and funds for WYWF. Forty hunters from across the nation are expected to participate in the all-women’s hunt this year. This is BP’s third year as a sponsor of the event which takes place in northeastern Wyoming Oct. 8-11, 2015.

“Partnering with the communities where we live and work is a cornerstone of our values at BP and we are proud to support the Wyoming Women’s Foundation in their mission to help women attain economic self-sufficiency across the state,” says Lisa Houghton, BP’s L48 Vice President of Government and Public Affairs. “This event provides women with the opportunity to learn and grow from one another while also experiencing the outdoors and Wyoming’s great beauty.”

Houghton, who participated in her first Wyoming hunt and first antelope hunt at the 2014 event, had such a positive experience, she’s bringing several other first time hunters to the event this year.

The hunt takes place Oct. 8-11, with a dinner and silent auction to benefit the Wyoming Women’s Foundation on Friday, Oct. 9th. Tickets to Friday night’s dinner can be purchased at http://wyomingwomensantelopehunt.org/auction-dinner.
