Stevensville, MT –-(AmmoLand.com)- A bowhunter education class is planned for Stevensville in May, and students can register online now.

The class schedule is set for Wednesday, May 19 and Thursday, May 20 from 6-9:30 p.m. each evening. A field course and final test will be Saturday, May 22 from 9am-4:30 p.m.

Montana also offers online bowhunter education classes for anyone 18 years and older. Although a lot of the coursework is completed online, students must complete a field day to receive their certification card. Missoula field days for online students are scheduled for Saturday, March 13, 12:30-4 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 6-9 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 8:30-12pm and Thursday, June 17, 6-9 p.m. Students can find out more information about the online class and register for a field day at nbef.org. There is a $20 fee for the online course.

By state law, all first time bowhunters must complete a bowhunter education course in order to purchase a bow and arrow license in Montana. Bowhunters born after January 1, 1985 must also show proof of completing a hunter education program.
