During a rally Tuesday in Concord, New Hampshire, the gun control group Mayors Against Illegal Guns read off a list the names of people who have been killed by gun violence since the tragedy at Sandy Hook. One name brought about a response by the crowd, only it wasn’t the response the group was after.
“He’s a terrorist!” people in attendance shouted as they read the name of Tamerlan Tsarnaev. That’s right, the Boston Marathon bomber who was killed by police during a shootout was a “victim” of gun violence.
It sure is nice to know that not only are gun control advocates fighting to protect the lives of schoolchildren from armed and deranged lunatics, but they’re also fighting to save the lives of those poor terrorists that kill innocent people.
Apparently, the group thought they would be able to just read right over that name without anybody realizing who it was. Guess they were wrong.
