The chilling body cam footage of a female police officer who was responding to a report of a burglary in Basingstoke, England, last year shows a brutal attack by a man in handcuffs.
Sergeant Kerry Lawrence was standing near her patrol car, next to 25-year-old Craig Radbourne, who was placed in handcuffs with his hands in front of him. As Lawrence talks with Radbourne, she eventually calls for backup, and that’s when things take a turn for the worst.
Radbourne can be seen striking Lawrence in the face with the handcuffs before she screams and drops to the ground. As she’s lying on the ground, Radbourne strikes her repeatedly, and smashes her head into the ground. Lawrence described the attack as traumatic and disgusting.
Radbourne pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and has been sentenced to three years in prison.
