USA –-(Ammoland.com)- The 2016 NSCA Championship is now one for the record books.
The NSCA Nationals showcased the superior shotguns from Isny and the men and women shooting them.
This grueling 8-day tournament attracted 1900 shooters representing 13 countries.
This year proved to be an especially emotional event for the Blaser team as F3 shooter Bill McGuire was inducted into the NSCA Hall of Fame.
The results speak for themselves. The National Champion title was won by Bill McGuire with a remarkable 293 out of 300 targets. But don’t let the broad smile and gray hair fool you, Bill was focused and dominated being named Champion in the 5 Stand and the Super Sporting events posting scores of (96/100) and (99/100) respectively.
Team Blaser’s success didn’t stop with Bill. Blaser USA’s own Matt Fisher and Janet McDougall insured their names would also be highlighted 2016 record book. Matt’s impressive score (288/300) confirmed his place winning 3rd overall in the Main Event. Janet, Blaser USA’s CFO, wanted to make sure the lady shooters were properly represented by burning up the course taking the Ladies Champion in the 5 Stand and Krieghoff Cup events as well as Ladies 2nd in the 28 gauge event and Ladies 3rd in FITASC.
Team shooter Brian Hughes continues to dominate in the sub-gauge events taking Champion in the 28 gauge and runner up in the 410 bore events. Looking to the future Hunter Dreher finished Junior 3rd in the main event and Junior 2nd in the Krieghoff Kup. Speaking of the Krieghoff Cup we should point out F3 shooter Brock Allen was named Champion with a perfect (100/100)!
