Beretta’s Bird Hunter’s Journal Goes South To The Laguna Madre – A Premier Duck Hunting Destination.
ACCOKEEK, MD -(AmmoLand.com)- Join outdoor photographer and host John DePalma this week on Beretta’s Bird Hunter’s Journal as he travels south of the border to the Laguna Madre where there is no shortage of ducks. Hunting the famous Pintail Lodge on the Gulf Coast just south of Texas, DePalma enjoys hunting the variety of birds that come to this paradise including teal (cinnamon, bluewing, greenwing), redheads, bluebills, widgeon and, of course, the signature pintail.
DePalma is hunting the famous Laguna Madre which lies at the convergence of the three primary flyways and contains a great concentration of waterfowl with an amazing depth and variety of species. The abundant food source on the Laguna combined with the easy access to fresh water sources provide an ideal winter roosting ground for the ducks. A plentiful food source keeps the ducks happy as well.
