Billy Johnson with NRA News talks about ‘Declining Gun Ownership’ (VIDEO)

Billy Johnson with NRA News talks about the decline in gun ownership using what he calls flawed logic of using “blatantly misleading” statistics to enact stricter gun control laws.

Johnson responds to an article written by The New York Times last spring that references a study claiming gun ownership in the U.S. has declined over the past four decades. The data from the study, he says, is flawed and so is using it to argue for more gun control laws.

Johnson summarizes his points by saying, “Gun control advocates argue that we should limit one of our rights because less than half the population exercises it, in order to stop the half-a-percent of the population who might be abusing it.”

“If they call that reasonable,” Johnson continues, “I’m proud to be considered an unflinching, unreasonable gun rights advocate.”
