Famed gun maker Beretta opened a retail store at an outlet mall in Aurora, which is a suburb of Chicago.
“We are excited to present our merchandise to the discerning shoppers who visit this premium outlet shopping destination,” said Patrick Mocorro, who manages commercial clothing and accessories for Beretta, in a statement Monday.
The 2,800-square-foot shop will house Beretta branded technical apparel designed for hunters and shooters as well as a wide array of lifestyle apparel for both women and men. Additionally the outlet will carry footwear, accessories and a small selection of gift items items.
Beretta owns and operates six retail Beretta Gallery stores worldwide that include New York City, Dallas, Memphis, Buenos Aires, Paris, Milano and London.
In addition to the high-end designer wear, the 500-year-old Italian company is also known for making guns — duh. For more than 25 years, Beretta has supplied the official sidearm for the U.S. military.
The company first opened U.S. operations in 1977 in Accokeek, Maryland, but last month Beretta moved all manufacturing operations to new facilities in Gallatin, Tennessee. However, administrative and executive offices will be maintained in Maryland.
