ACCOKEEK, MD –-(Ammoland.com)- An African safari may well be the last great adventure on earth, as Franchi found out when they traveled to Kenya, East Africa to launch a brand new line of shotguns.

This week on Benelli On Assignment (BOA), join host Joe Coogan as he returns to his old stomping grounds in this classic big game country that’s also a bird shooter’s dream.

With him on this epic bird-shooting safari are outdoor writers Mike Schoby, Editor, Petersen’s Hunting Magazine, Jeff Johnston, Managing Editor, American Hunter, Layne Simpson, Guns & Ammo and Robert Williams, Sporting Classics & Shooting Sportsman.

In this first of a two-part series, the writers begin their safari on Kenya’s legendary Galana River, where they put the new Franchis to the test with some fast-action bird shooting. Several species of game birds are brought to bag including the unique and highly prized vulturine guinea fowl found exclusively in only a few select areas of East Africa.

Be sure to tune in next week when the writers continue their adventure, traveling overland to Masailand for more bird shooting excitement. Along the way they visit the famous Tsavo River Bridge, where a couple of man-eating lions terrorized laborers and brought the construction of the Uganda Railway to a halt for several months back in 1898.

Now in its sixth season, BOA teams up with nationally recognized writers and photographers from top outdoor publications to field test and showcase Benelli USA products at top hunting spots around the world.

Tune in to Outdoor Channel to see BOA airing Thursdays at 9:30 am (EST) and 3 pm and repeated on Saturdays at 11:30 am (EST). Listed below are show titles, guests and dates for BOA TV.
