ACCOKEEK, MD –-(Ammoland.com)- This week on BOA Franchi’s African bird shooting safari continues with an overland journey to Masailand, a bird hunter’s dream in big game country laying in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Accompanying host Joe Coogan on this epic bird-shooting safari are outdoor writers Mike Schoby, Editor, Petersen’s Hunting Magazine, Jeff Johnston, Managing Editor, American Hunter, Layne Simpson, Guns & Ammo and Robert Williams, Sporting Classics & Shooting Sportsman.

In this second of a two-part series, the writers visit the famous Tsavo River Bridge, where a couple of man-eating lions terrorized laborers and brought the construction of the Uganda Railway to a halt for several months back in 1898.

The Man-Eaters of Tsavo by Col. J.H. Patterson chronicles the ordeal and difficulty of killing the man-eaters before work could resume on the railway.
