ACCOKEEK, MD –-(Ammoland.com)- This week on BOA, host, Joe Coogan teams up with fellow Floridians, Terry Gibson and Wayne Shelby to take a look at two of Florida’s invasive species—wild hogs and Burmese pythons—and how they affect Florida’s ecosystem.

The hunt is on for wild hogs with Jamey O’Bannon of J & R Outfitters, while Capt. Jesse Kennon will take the group on an airboat search for pythons in the Everglades.

Invasive species have been a Florida issue ever since the first Europeans journeyed to the new world in the early 1500’s. Hogs were introduced then and easily adapted to Florida’s tropical environment.

Nobody is more aware of the problems they can cause then Florida outdoor writer, Terry Gibson, who has become a “watch dog” for Florida issues that impact the environment. Gibson’s articles appear in both digital and print media, including Fly & Light Tackle Angler, Coastal Angler Magazine, Bayed Solid and Outdoor Life.

Tune in to Outdoor Channel to see BOA airing Thursdays at 9:30 am (EST) and 3 pm and repeated on Saturdays at 11:30 am.
