ACCOKEEK, MD –-(Ammoland.com)- This week’s Gun Stories episode on Outdoor Channel, hosted by Joe Mantegna, will feature a tour of Benelli’s factory in Urbino, Italy.
The show, which airs tonight at 8pm EST, will focus on the development and manufacture of Benelli’s M4, 12 gauge shotgun. Selected as the U.S. Joint Service Combat shotgun, Benelli’s M4 is a unique Auto Regulating Gas Operated (ARGO) semi-automatic shotgun, upon which, the U.S. Marine Corps still depend today.
Mantegna talks with key Benelli personnel, including Technical Director, Marco Vignaroli, and Sales Director, Lucio Porreca, both of who were instrumental in the design, production and sales of the M4.
“Benelli’s factory personnel were particularly excited about hosting Joe Mantegna and his television crew during the filming of Gun Stories,” said Jared Rehm, Benelli USA’s Video Producer, who was a consultant to the production. “They all knew who he was, as his show, Criminal Minds is very popular on Italian TV. Joe was kind enough to sign autographs for everyone that worked at the Benelli factory in Italy.”
Headquartered in Accokeek, MD, Benelli USA offers the largest selection of semi-automatic shotguns in the world, as well as a variety of other fine products from Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger, A. Uberti, and Stoeger Airguns.
